Krajina je bytost, která formuje člověka. Matka, otec, krajina.
Krajina bez lidí přestává být krajinou – vztah se vytrácí – stává se přírodou.
Příroda se proměňuje v krajinu tvůrčím setkáním s lidmi.
Krajina je jedna – i město je krajinou. Krajinu nelze pomíjet, vyhnout se jí.
Lidé krajinu bytostně potřebují.
My však s krajinou zacházíme jako s podložkou, zdrojem surovin, pouhou tapetou. Její tvář zrcadlí
náš pravdivý vztah k domovu – domu, vesnici, městu, kraji. Zmizely cesty a s nimi i lidé. Ztrácíme
vztah k místu. Krajina se mění v životní prostředí.
Všudypřítomné dekorování popírá vztah k místu, ničí koncept i detail. Vizuální a informační
smog vede k laicismu a zlehčování smrtelně vážných témat. Vyzýváme k renesanci vztahu
k obydlí, půdě, vodě, stromům.
Krajina je bytost.
V roce 2007 se poprvé setkalo pět krajinářských architektů
Susannne Spurná, Markéta Veličková, Jakub Chvojka, Tomáš Jiránek
a Petr Velička. Od roku 2010 promýšlejí Manifest krajinářské architektury.
Dne 27. února 2017 byl manifest zveřejněn.

Autorizovaný architekt – krajinářská architektura. Od r. 2005 samostat-
ná praxe architekta, nyní ve studiu CHVOJKA/architekt se sídlem v Plzni
Doubravce. Držitel národního ocenění Grand Prix architektů 2015 za no-
vostavbu, finalista Ceny klubu za starou Prahu 2016 (2. místo) a autor
staveb pro veřejný prostor. V roce 2005 oceněn v rámci mezinárodní ur-
banistické soutěže Europan. Iniciátor vzniku plzeňské skupiny Zapálení na
podporu moderní a současné architektury. Dlouhodobá práce na tématu
pohraničí, krajiny se silným potenciálem. Od roku 2016 člen Autorizační
rady České komory architektů.
TOMÁŠ JIRÁNEK
Autorizovaný architekt – krajinářská architektura. Zakladatel společnosti
New Visit (r. 2000) se sídlem v Hradci Králové. V roce 1997 spoluzakla-
datel koncepce Správy krajiny komponovaného krajinářsko urbanistické-
ho díla Národního hřebčína v Kladrubech nad Labem. Individuální člen
Evropského fóra pro politiku architektury. Vítěz několika architektonic-
kých soutěží. Držitel národní ceny Grand Prix obce architektů a autor ně-
kolika dalších významných staveb veřejného prostoru v ČR. Od roku 2008
do roku 2011 člen i místopředseda představenstva České komory archi-
tektů. Člen vědecké rady ministra kultury.
SUSANNE SPURNÁ
Autorizovaná architektka – krajinářská architektura. Členka spolku ně-
meckých krajinářských architektů (BDLA) a mezinárodní federace kraji-
nářských architektů (IFLA). Absolventka fakulty architektury na Technické
univerzitě v Drážďanech – diplomová práce: Historický vývoj a potenciál
veřejného prostoru v Praze na Smíchově. Po odborné praxi od roku 2004
projektantka v ateliéru Cigler Marani Architects. Spolupráce na projek-
tech The Park Chodov, Radio Free Europe a dalších. Od roku 2007 členka
iniciativní skupiny Krajinářská architektura při ČKA. Od roku 2015 samo-
statná projektová, přednášková a publikační činnost. Členka občanského
sdružení Antikomplex.
MARKÉTA A PETR VELIČKOVI
Autorizovaní architekti – krajinářská architektura. Zakladatelé ateliéru
M&P Architekti – krajinářská architektura (r. 2004) se sídlem ve Velkém
Meziříčí. Během 13 let několikrát oceněni v architektonických soutěžích.
Některé stavby podle jejich návrhů získaly uznání i na mezinárodní úrovni.
Držitelé ocenění Grand Prix obce architektů i nominací na Českou cenu
za architekturu, evropskou cenu Piranesi award a BigMat international
architecture award. Od roku 2007 spolupráce s přední českou režisérkou
Ljubou Václavovou na tvorbě dokumentárních filmů s tématem krajiny
pro ČT. Autoři knihy Aleje českých a moravských zemí – Historie a součas-
ný význam vydané v nakladatelství Dokořán. Petr Velička od roku 2007
do roku 2010 člen i místopředseda dozorčí rady České komory architektů
a od roku 2015 člen jejího představenstva.
V roce 2007 jsme se shodou mnoha okolností setkali – pět krajinářských
architektů. Naše odlišné nazírání na téma české krajiny bylo vzájemně
inspirující. Přes rozdílnost osobností jsme vzájemnou diskusí docházeli
k obdobným závěrům. Zásadním krokem pro nás všechny bylo zavedení
jednotného názvu vlastní profese – oboru krajinářská architektura. Neboť
jen známe-li své jméno, dokážeme ho smysluplně naplňovat obsahem.
Název se podařil prosadit na půdě mateřské organizace České komory ar-
chitektů. Později jsme iniciovali reedici knihy Christiana Norberga Schulze
Genius loci – onoho zásadního díla, které architekturu velmi úzce pro-
pojuje s místem a vysvětluje její významy. Přirozeným vývojem věcí, ne-
ustálým dialogem nad hodnotami, jsme začali pracovat na Manifestu
krajinářské architektury. Postupně jsme zjednodušovali teze a snažili se
dostat k podstatě. Během zrodu manifestu vykrystalizovaly také následné
myšlenky – jakési ozvěny manifestu.

Manifest zrál plných sedm let. Od počátku bylo zjevné, že potřebu-
jeme předat výsledek veřejnosti co nejdříve, neboť jak před lety řekl
Vladimír Kokolja: „Z krajiny neutečeš“. Je všude kolem nás, utváří naše
osobnosti, je součástí naší historie, je naší budoucností.
Krajina, i při nezpochybnitelném ctění veškerých vlastnických práv, je věcí
veřejnou, ale velmi zranitelnou, především je však životně důležitou pro
každého z nás.
KRAJINÁŘSKÉ ARCHITEKTURY
In 2007, five Landscape Architects, Susanne Spurná, Markéta Veličková,
Jakub Chvojka, Tomáš Jiránek and Petr Velička met for the first time.
Since 2010 they have been thinking of the Manifesto of Landscape
Architecture.
On February 27, 2017, the manifesto was published.

Licensed Architect - Landscape Architecture. Since 2005, the individual
practice of an architect, now in the studio CHVOJKA / architect based in
Pilsen Doubravka. Owner of the national award Grand Prix of Architects
2015 for new buildings, finalist of the award of the Club for Old Prague
2016 (2nd place) and author of public area buildings. In 2005 he was
awarded in the international urban planning competition Europan. The
initiator of the formation of the Pilsen group Zealous for support of modern
and contemporary architecture. Long-term work on the border land theme,
landscape with strong potential. From 2016 Member of the Authorizing
Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
TOMÁŠ JIRÁNEK
Licensed Architect - Landscape Architecture. Founder of the company
New Visit (r.2000) based in Hradec Králové. In 1997 co-founder of the
Landscape Management Concept of a Compiled Landscape and Urban
Work of the National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem. Individual member
of European Forum for Architecture Policy. Winner of several architectural
competitions. Owner of the national award Grand Prix of the architects
community and author of several other important public area buildings in
the Czech Republic. From 2008 to 2011 he is a member and a vice-chairman
of the Czech Chamber of Architects. Member of the Scientific Council of
the Minister of Culture.
SUSANNE SPURNÁ
Licensed Architect - Landscape Architecture. Member of the German Land-
scape Architects Association (BDLA) and the International Federation of
Landscape Architects (IFLA). Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the
Technical University of Dresden - diploma thesis: Historical Development
and Potential of the Public Space in Prague, Smíchov. After a professional
practice the designer at the Cigler Marani Architects studio since 2004.
Collaborating on projects The Chodov Park, Radio Free Europe and others.
Since 2007 member of the Landscape Architecture Initiative Group at Czech
Chamber of Architects. From 2015 onwards separate projects, lecture and
publishing activity. Member of the AntiComplex civic association.
MARKÉTA A PETR VELIČKOVI
Licensed Architects - Landscape Architecture. Founders of M&P Architects -
Landscape Architecture (2004) based in Velké Meziříčí. During the 13 years
they have been awarded several times in architectural competitions. Certain
constructions according to their designs have been recognized internationally.
Winners of Grand Prix award of the architect community and nominees for
the Czech Architecture Prize, the European Piranesi Award and the BigMat
international architecture award. Since 2007 they have worked with leading
Czech director Ljuba Wáclavová on documentary films with the theme of
landscape for Czech Television. Authors of the book Alleys of Czech and
Moravian Lands - History and Contemporary Importance, published by the
Dokořán Publishing House. Petr Velička from 2007 to 2010 is a member and
vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Czech Chamber of Architects
and since 2015 a member of its Board of Directors.
In 2007, thanks to coincidence of many circumstances - five landscape
architects met. Our different view of the Czech landscape was mutually
inspiring. In spite of the difference of personalities, in numerous discus-
sions we accomplished similar conclusions. A fundamental step for us all
was the introduction of a unified name of our own profession - landscape
architecture. For only if we know our name, we can fill it meaningfully.
The title was successfully asserted on the ground of the parent organiza-
tion of the Czech Chamber of Architects. Later, we initiated the reissue of
Christiann Norberg Schulze’s book Genius loci - the essential work that links
architecture very closely with the site and explains its meanings. With the
natural evolution of things, constant dialogue over values, we started to
work on the Manifesto of Landscape Architecture. Gradually, we simplified
the thesis and tried to get to the point. During the birth of the manifesto,
the subsequent thoughts - a kind of echo of the manifesto - also crystallized.

The Manifesto has matured for seven years. It was clear from the outset
that we need to pass on the outcome to the public as soon as possible,
as Vladimir Kokolja has said years ago: „You will not run away from the
landscape“. It is all around us, it shapes our personalities, it is part of our
history, it is our future.
The landscape, even with the indisputable honoring of all property rights,
is a public domain but very vulnerable, and above all, it is vital to each of us.
